Vision, Ethos and Values
Vision for Parkwood Primary School
The vision of Parkwood underpins all we do, together we strive to develop an outstanding, collaborative and outward facing school in the heart of the community where children and adults thrive on a love of learning.
Parkwood has created a set of values that the children and adults work to demonstrate in all they do. these go hand in hand with the British Values of democracy; the rule of law; individual liberty; mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.
These values and the accompanying stories demonstrate how we are able to work together to be the best that we can whether this is in work or play. Have a look at the value stories below.
Those children who demonstrate Parkwood Values are rewarded through our celebration assemblies, this is also an opportunity to reward progress children make in any aspect of school. Parents are invited to these assemblies and our children look forward to sharing their success with friends and family.
As part of the school's vision and ethos, we pride ourselves on the behaviour of our children. This stems not only from the high expectations and community focused ethos but also from our school rules, created by the children. These rules support the values of Parkwood and allow all children to make excellent choices in all they do.
